Track Day Check List

There’s nothing more frustrating than showing up to a track day and realizing you’re missing something critical. Trust me, I know. One of my first track days we forgot my husband’s bike key. Imagine driving 4 hours to track day only to realize once you arrive that you don’t have your key! Even forgetting small items can be problematic. My last track day at Barber I forgot my tire gauge and air compressor. Running the correct tire pressure is very important, so I was forced to have to borrow a friend’s—which no one wants to be that annoying person who comes unprepared and is always begging to borrow this or that. By being prepared and having all the necessary tools and gear, it takes a lot of pressure and stress off and allows you to focus on riding too. So, I put together a checklist and never fall prey to forgotten track day items. Since I’ve had people ask me what they should bring to track days, I thought it would be helpful to share it. Drivers license or passport (for registration)
Tent
Sandbags to weigh tent down
String of lights (for tent)
Camp chairs
Folding table
Fan
Extension cords
Power strip
Generator
Air compressor
Tire pressure gauge
Tire warmers
Rain tires
Front and rear stands
Gas jugs
Bike cover
Bike rags
Duct tape
Toolbox (with an assortment of basic tools like wrench set, ratchet and sockets, screwdrivers, hammer, etc)
Oil and brake fluid

Box of extra parts (levers come in very handy)
Lap timer

Earplugs
Spray cleaner for visor
Pain reliever
Phone charger
Cooler with water, Gatorade and food
Ice to keep drinks and food cold
Alcoholic beverages for after the track day (very important)
